Newly refurbished, stylish and spacious 3 double bedroom apartment, sleeping 6 people, with open plan kitchen, large breakfast bar with four stools and a further dining table in the lounge. Original Victorian features add a great deal of charm including fireplace, architraves, ceiling rose, curved walls and high ceilings. The apartment is beautifully decorated with wooden floors, cable tv in living room and wifi throughout.
The well stocked kitchen houses a dishwasher and microwave plus all kitchen essentials. There are two bathrooms; one is particularly spacious and light and both are decorated to a very high standard. There is a contemporary bath, shower and toilet in the large bathroom, which is accessible from the hall and also en-suite to the master bedroom. The bathroom ceiling houses a glass pyramid so you can look at the stars while having a bath. It really is fabulous. The second is a lovely shower room and toilet which is accessed from the hallway.
There are three double bedrooms, each uniquely decorated. The new master bedroom is huge, with one exposed brick wall and handmade, exquisite French doors opening onto a newly paved 6m terrace with seating, BBQ and 35 metre garden. There are bedding plants framing the terrace and built in lighting which look very pretty. There is a pear tree and an old Oak tree at the back. Please note that the garden itself has yet to be completed, landscaping has begun and planting will happen autumn 2014. The cost of the apartment has been reduced to reflect this.
The second bedroom leads to the master bedroom, but is also independent. It is a very calming room, has a brand new sofa bed and four hanging plumen lights, a curved desk with blackboard painted section of the wall. The third is a very pretty room with a warm eastern colour scheme. The master and third bedroom have quality mattresses, and the sofabed in the 2nd bedroom is brand new. The bedrooms are all light and bright and recently repainted.
There is a separate large cupboard which holds the washing machine. All sheets, blankets and towels are provided.
On street parking is available with restrictions during the week. I do have a limited amount of parking permits which are available at cost.
The flat sleeps 6 very comfortably. Children are welcome.

Crouch End is a trendy village-like area full of boutiques, interesting shops, beauticians, hairdressers, cafes, pubs and restaurants. See comedy and watch movies at the local Arthouse Cinema just a couple of minutes from the flat. Crouch End is a very cool area to hang out in, drink coffee and eat wonderful food.
There are a great deal of things to do with children in the area. Cafes and restaurants are child friendly, there are loads of parks and outdoor activities.
Great hills for running if that's your poison and there's a local 50m outdoor pool if you're a swimmer.
Lovely walks nearby, close to Highgate woods, Hampstead Heath, Kenwood House for outdoor summer concerts and Alexandra Palace for lots of different events. Close to Islington with its Georgian townhouses and beautiful squares. London has great local areas and exploring these can really complement a visit here.
Friendly, knowledgable and well travelled host can help you see another side of London, avoid tourist traps and enjoy the best the city has to offer.
Good transport links to all major tourist sites and a bus direct to Trafalgar Square.

So that you can enjoy the apartment (and I can sleep at night) there are a few things you should know.
Most importantly, this is my home and you are welcome. Please treat it with respect. If you have any problems, then do let me know and I will do my very best to sort it out quickly. Please be tidy and clear up after yourselves.
Please be mindful and considerate of the neighbours. I have good relationships with them and would not wish to upset them. No loud noise after 11pm and absolutely no additional visitors.
Security and safety - non negotiables
The front door to the house and the door to the flat have two locks each. It is vital you double lock both doors every time to arrive and leave. It is a safe area but as in any city, you need to follow basic security. You will be provided with one set of keys. Please do not give them to anyone else.
The back door has keys and deadlocks and should be locked when you leave the house.
STRICTLY No smoking in the building. You may smoke at the back of the garden only.

Duvets, clean bedding and towels on arrival.
Tea, coffee, sugar and milk. I have two Italian stove top espresso makers.
Central heating (on a timer morning and evening).

We really enjoyed staying in Rita's apartment. Rita was very friendly and helpful and we did feel at home. The apartment is lovely and we also enjoyed sitting in the garden. The location was very convenient for us and all helped toward a very happy weekend
Many thanks to Rita for such a welcoming and flexible attitude to us. We as a group of men, were delighted to be able to sleep at the flat and have somewhere homely to return to after our all day meetings. The place is certainly handy to get into central London (even if we didn't do so) and to the various airports, notably Stansted. We have no quibbles! Show respect and you get it back! I as treasurer, was delighted to have got this place after searching the various hotels. I wanted flexibility knowing that we would not really be eating in the flat, but the opportunity to do is certainly there. Big thanks to Rita.
