We found our stay very enjoyable. Nick and Laurence were very helpful and gave us plenty of information about the area.
A good location in lively Castro!! Near MUNI and Buses.

We have spent three nights in the really nice city "San Francisco". Laurence and Nick were great hosts. they were here for all our questions. We got a really nice room and a bathroom for us. Laurence and Nick let us all interesting documentations about San Francisco (Places to see, restaurants,...) Their home is a nice house in a typical and quiet street of Francisco in the Castro area (not far from bars and restaurants of Castro). We were 2minutes walking from metro and buses.
We had a lovely time in SF, and staying at your house was part of it. We would definitely come back at your place and surely recommend it. Excellent location (metro, buses, historic tramway), charming district (residential, quiet, and at the same time very close to many bars and restaurants). The room itself is perfect : very clean, comfy bed, bathroom very well equipped, fridge, coffee machine, etc. Excellent communication before and during the stay. Laurence was there to welcome us, took his time to explain everything, he's a super host ! We also received a "welcome" email from Nick on the day we checked in. Thanks for everything !
We are back at this Victorian Home for a second time. Our first was a month in San Francisco in September where we rented their full apartment unit on the lower level. This visit was short but we wanted the same location and stayed in the room in the Victorian Home. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and exactly what we needed for our short stay. Anything needed was readily available with a quick email request. The location is perfect for our needs and easily accessible to transportation, restaurants and beautiful walks as desired. We will return and have already recommended to our family and friends.
Clean and Nice room, great hospitallity and a good location. Nearby Metro station and restaurants. Great host, you can just ask anything and they gladly help you. / Jenny and joni
We had a wonderful time in San Francisco and our room at Laurence's lovely house did not disappoint either. It was basically what you see in the pictures, clean, comfortable, roomy, and with everything you could need. The bed is very comfy and there is a lot of storage space. The other perk of this place, aside from Laurence's fabulous hospitality, is its location. Castro is a great area that just gives you a comforting and fun feeling - it has a great atmosphere! It is also very conveniently located to public transport. Thanks to Laurence again for opening up his home to us travellers!
The property is very well located. The room is spacious and with all the needs we needed in our trip. Laurence was very helpful with all the questions about the city. We will definitively come back to San Francisco and we will definitively recommend this property.
Perfect room for a stay in San Francisco in the Castro neigborhood, where finding a place to eat or drink is never difficult . Clean and tastefully decorated room, in a beautiful house; most helpful hosts (Laurence and Nick), who are available when you need them, but don't interfere with your activities if this isn't needed. Some outside noise, but acceptable.
Nick and Laurence’s place in Castro Street is a gorgeous place to spend very comfortable and happy days in SFO. The Victorian style house is situated in a quiet street, just a 5 minute walk away from market street, SFOs main artery. You’ll find nice restaurants (never miss the Burger in Orphan Andy’s or the Superburrito in the Mexican Cantina Zappa in 18th street!), grocery stores and, proceeding further into Castro, a very vivid, exciting neighborhood. The house is simply outstandingly clean, tastefully furnished and calm. The guest room upstairs offers a very comfortable (at least) queen size bed and a private bathroom all for yourself. We found everything in perfect order and again: very clean and proper! The hosts offer you small luxuries such as free coffee and tea from a Keurig machine, ample information material and even reloadable muni passes during your stay. Wow! Unfortunately we hadn’t the chance to meet Nick. Laurence however proved to be the perfect host, very friendly and charming, respectful and always very helpful. We won’t ever forget that someone even dragged a really heavy piece of luggage upstairs that arrived one day late, while we were out. You won’t find it any better. Finally looking for the rub, you could perhaps quote the missing view on the eternally blue californian sky out of the window: The house next door is just a couple of feet across the court. That’s it and it didn’t matter at all. Thanks a lot once again guys, we will be back! Tatjana and Rudolf
